The worn-out clutch plates are a significant sign that the need to be changed because it may create a lot of problems for the rider and even the ride quality may not meet the expectations. Besides affecting the right quality worn out clutches also damage the engine in a lot of ways. The most easily noticeable causes of them are mentioned below:

• The engine may lose its initial pickup all the sudden powerful acceleration that you were able to get from your motorcycle before the clutch plates were worn out.

• The engine may not be able also to use its top speed. This is one of the major sign of a worn-out clutch plate as it reduces the performance of the engine capacity.

Note: You may experience either the first point or the second point or the both at the same time. But it solely depends on the extent of wear.

• You can also notice a drop in mileage because of the same hence you will not be able to get as much mileage from your engine as you used to get earlier.

• A noticeable difference in the colour of the smoke coming out from the exhaust i.e. white or black can be seen either when you are riding normally or trying to go at higher revolutions. And again this depends on the extent up to which the clutch is worn out.

Note: In general, the smoke coming out of the exhaust is related to wearing out of the distance or a fault in the air-fuel mixture and hence its always better to get help from a professional mechanic before coming to any major conclusions.
other issues such as overheating of the engine and heard expected noises coming from the engine are also some of the signs of worn out in the process of wearing out of clutch plates.
